Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Eugene East/Springfield

Came during the ice storm and the power was going in and out. Found out too late to go to another place so we had to stay there. The poor girl had been there since Saturday (5 days and still going). They were great and pleasant and trying their hardest. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is no food in the area (my biggest con..you had to drive to get anything) and the power flickered on and off all day/night. Overall, made the best of a bad situation and the girls at the desk were absolutely fantastic and deserve a bonus for all the things they were dealing with!

Beautiful Hotel and really nice, big rooms/bathrooms and my kids love that there is a pool. But unfortunately, none of that matters when other guests AND hotel staff look at you like you don't belong here and follow you around like there's something wrong with you! Are we not dressed nice enough, or do we not look rich enough to be staying here? Cause I can guarantee that we are comfortable financially. I just don't prefer to constantly flaunt it like most people because I'm happy without needing to do so. It's just made us so uncomfortable that we've resulted in taking the stairs in and out of the hotel just so we don't have to worry about being looked at like we're less than. A hotel is for ANYONE. I'll admit my kids aren't the most well-behaved kids out there, but that's just it. They are kids. I would have really liked to say I had the best experience here and will definitely be back, but that would be a lie. Also, for the price of the hotel rooms, you'd think they would put trash bags in their trash cans and that they'd have better smelling toiletries. Also, none of the outlets in our room work, so that's awesome. Also, you're not really close to any decent restaurants or activities, which is kind of a bummer, and trying to find a parking space is impossible. If you're going to make people uncomfortable like you have my family, you should probably make sure everything here is 100% first. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Rooms are spacious but that’s about it. Checked in late and front desk gal was apathetic with a room issue and couldn’t change it since hotel was full occupancy. Breakfast was disappointing we went to McDonald’s when we stayed here. Location is not walkable to any food or amenities. I consider Fairfield the bottom of the Marriott hotel chain. I am Marriott Platinum but that status doesn’t get you much of anything here. You’re better at Home2 under another brand.

The “river view” is past a trash-filled field and is dominated by the interstate, which is loud. Housekeeping never came during my four night stay- the front desk confirmed that the room should have been serviced but didn’t know why it hadn’t been. Mobile key didn’t work for my room (it did unlock the gym and outside door) so I was briefly locked out. Aside from the noise from I-5 the room itself was fine. The A/C was a little noisy.

OMFnG! I can't get over how wonderfully friendly, kind, and welcoming the front desk lady was when i checked in! After a long day of meetings and driving a long way to get to the hotel, I came away from the check in pro ess feeling appreciated and refreshed! I highly recommend th8s hotel. Oh, yah, the room was great and everything else was good too.
